The Online News Association put on an interesting two-day workshop called “Parachute Training: Honolulu, Hawaii” at the East-West Center. It was a great opportunity for journalists like me to get updates on everything you wanted to know about innovative storytelling in the changing media landscape. I sat in on workshops on social media, blogging, creating interactive slideshows, going mobile and more.

Thanks to ONA for providing the free digital journalism training in partnership with the Hawaii chapters of the Asian American Journalists Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. So much to learn, so little time!
