Many are gearing up for the Hawaii Five-0 Finale as it winds up its first season on CBS Monday night. The show’s been riding a wave of popularity around the globe. Here’s a look back at its world premiere in Hawaii on September 13, 2010. That’s when I caught up with the show’s stars: Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park and Taryn Manning; and producers, as they strolled down the red carpet on Waikiki Beach.

To celebrate the series’ reboot, CBS and the City and County of Honolulu put on a special Sunset on the Beach event featuring live entertainment including Willie K, Makana, Makana, Tamaine Gardner and the University of Hawaii Marching Band. Thousands turned out to catch a glimpse of the Hawaii Five-0 cast and producers.
