Donna Summer, known as the Queen of Disco has died, after a battle with lung cancer. She was 63. In her heyday, Summer entertained a lot of fans at her concerts here in Hawaii. As a DJ in that era, we played all her hits, from Hot Stuff to Bad Girls, and On The Radio.
In 1978, Summer starred as an aspiring singer in the film Thank God It’s Friday, which took home an Oscar for Best Original Song.
